Henry "Nostralites" Waxman

Waxman Set to Probe Areas of Bush Gov't

LOS ANGELES

The Democratic congressman who will investigate the Bush administration's running of the government says there are so many areas of possible wrongdoing, his biggest problem will be deciding which ones to pursue. (like a kid in a candy store Nostralites is drooling at the prospect of investigation just for the sake of investigation)
There's the response to Hurricane Katrina, government contracting in Iraq and on homeland security, political interference in regulatory decisions by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Food and Drug Administration, and allegations of war profiteering, Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., told the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. (He's drawing up a Christmass list of how many subpoenas it will take to shut the administrative branch down)

"I'm going to have an interesting time because the Government Reform Committee has jurisdiction over everything," (as he wipes the spittle of glee from his lips) Waxman said Friday, three days after his party's capture of Congress put him in line to chair the panel. "The most difficult thing will be to pick and choose." (yes whether there is any legitimacy to any of it will be totaly irrelivant)

Waxman, who's in his 16th term (a career beurocrat thats a poster boy for term limits) representing West Los Angeles, had plenty of experience leading congressional investigations before the Democrats lost control of the House to Republicans in 1994.

That was the year when, as chairman of an Energy and Commerce subcommittee, he presided over dramatic hearings he convened where the heads of leading tobacco companies testified that they didn't believe nicotine was addictive.

The scene made it into the movie "The Insider," but Waxman noted Friday that no subpoenas were issued to produce that testimony. (in other words if you thought he reaked havok before wait till you see what he is about to do)

Republicans have speculated that a Democratic congressional majority will mean a flurry of subpoenas and investigations into everything under the sun as retaliation against the GOP and President Bush. (and the Nostralites won't let us down)

Not so, Waxman said. (contradicts what he just said in the first paragraph)

"A lot of people have said to me, `Are you going to now go out and issue a lot of subpoenas and go on a wild payback time?' Well, payback is unworthy," he said. "Doing oversight doesn't mean issuing subpoenas. It means trying to get information." (is that political speak for I'm saying I'm not gonna do it, but I'll do it anyway and the Press will never call me on it)

Subpoenas would be used only as a last result, (oh and here's a copy of my first 100 subpoenas) Waxman said, taking a jab at a previous committee chairman, GOP Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana, who led the committee during part of the Clinton administration.

"He issued a subpoena like most people write a letter," Waxman said. (thats the pot calling the kettle black)

Waxman complained that Republicans, while in power, shut Democrats out of decision-making and abdicated oversight responsibilities, focusing only on maintaining their own power.

In contrast to the many investigations the GOP launched of the Clinton administration, "when Bush came into power there wasn't a scandal too big for them to ignore," Waxman said. (so now we must find things to investigate as payback)

Among the issues that should have been investigated but weren't, Waxman contended, were the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal, (which was investigated, the dems just didn't like the fact that the soldiers that went to JAIL didn't say that the President called them and told them to put those panties on Mohammeds head) the controversy over the leak of CIA operative Valerie Plame's name, (which was investigated for 3 years even though NO LAW was broken and everyone knew that the person who leaked the information was Armatage an anti-war critic., but that doesn't count either because it did't prove that Darth Vader{Dick Cheyney} was the leak) and the pre-Iraq war use of intelligence. (the same intelligence that the Dems used under Clinton to blow up an asperin factory to hide the fact that he stained a dress)

He said Congress must restore accountability and function as an independent branch of government. (in other words we have to go on a witch hunt and burn as many non-liberal heritics we can find) "It's our obligation not to be repeating with the Republicans have done," Waxman said. (yeah like trying to protect our citizens from Terrorists that are trying to kill them)

This IDIOT is the posterchild for what the Dems are all about. He cares only about destroying as much of the otherside of the isle that he can. Watch this mans antics over the next two years for an unbridled reign of bullshit and political terror as you will ever witness....

An ATW Two Shot

SYRIA APPLAUDS PELOSI....

Following on from Iranian congratulations, Syria has rushed to offer it's sincere thanks to the US electorate...
"The outcome of the theses elections is a genuine punishment from the American people to President Bush's administration that staged a war on Iraq because of incorrect and inaccurate stimulations," Syrian "Information Minister" Dr Mohsen Bilal said in an interview with al-Jazeera, according to the official Syrian news agency SANA. "Therefore the U.S. and British forces are in a mess there now," Bilal noted that incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi opposes the war in Iraq.
"This lady has made the word of the American people audible. And this is very comfortable."
Well, if IRAN and SYRIA are comfortable, I'm feeling pretty relaxed - how about you? Wonder how comfortable Israel is feeling? The vultures circle...

IRAN BACKS THE DEMOCRATS VICTORY...

How interesting! Iran's Supreme Leader Head Mullah Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Fridayhas called U.S. President George W. Bush's defeat in congressional elections "a victory for Iran".
Bush has accused Iran of trying to make a nuclear bomb, being a state sponsor of terrorism and stoking sectarian conflict in Iraq, all charges Tehran denies."This issue (the elections) is not a purely domestic issue for America, but it is the defeat of Bush's hawkish policies in the world," Khamenei said in remarks reported by Iran's student news agency ISNA on Friday.
So the head of the most despotic regime in the Middle East congratulates the US electorate on making the right decision. Get the impression that Khamenei now sees all impediments removed from Iran's road to create the second Holocaust?

On the Lighter side of Despair

'Aliens could attack at any time' warns former MoD chief
By CHARLOTTE GILL

Last updated at 21:25pm on 9th November 2006

UFO sightings and alien visitors tend to be solely the reserve of sci-fi movies.

So when a former MoD chief warns that the country could be attacked by extraterrestrials at any time, you may be forgiven for feeling a little alarmed.

During his time as head of the Ministry of Defence UFO project, Nick Pope was persuaded into believing that other lifeforms may visit Earth and, more specifically, Britain.

His concern is that "highly credible" sightings are simply dismissed.

And he complains that the project he once ran is now "virtually closed" down, leaving the country "wide open" to aliens.

Mr Pope decided to speak out about his worries after resigning from his post at the Directorate of Defence Security at the MoD this week.

"The consequences of getting this one wrong could be huge," he said.

"If you reported a UFO sighting now, I am absolutely sure that you would just get back a standard letter telling you not to worry. ''Frankly we are wide open - if something does not behave like a conventional aircraft now, it will be ignored.

"The X-Files have been closed down." If these words had come from a sci-fi fanatic, they could be easily dismissed by cynics.

But Mr Pope's CV - he was head of the UFO project between 1991 and 1994 - cannot be ignored.

When he began his job, he too was sceptical about UFOs but access to classified files on the subject and investigation of a series of spectacular UFO sightings gradually changed his mind.

And while Mr Pope says that there is no evidence of hostile intent, he insists it cannot be ruled out.

"There has got to be the potential for that and one is left with the uneasy feeling that if it turned out to be so, there is very little we could do about it," he said.

"If you believe these things are extra terrestrial craft then you cannot rule out that what is happening is some kind of covert reconnaissance."

One incident which persuaded him of the existence of alien lifeforms was in 1993. There were reports of a "vast, triangular-shaped craft" spotted flying over RAF bases in the West Midlands.

"Most of the witnesses were police and military personnel," he said.

"Hundreds of members of the public also had sightings over a period of several hours."

In another incident in 1980 at RAF bases in Suffolk, staff investigated a suspected plane crash after bright lights were reported coming from nearby woods.

They found a kind of lunar landing module standing on three legs which then flew off. The indents it left in the ground were found to emit ten times the normal levels of radiation. Mr Pope said: "These sort of incidents are why I got so frustrated.

"In my time I would brief the more interesting sightings up the chain of command to people like the Chief of the Air Staff and would get the answer back that it was very interesting and I had clearly done a good job investigating it and that was it.

"Every one is a piece of a puzzle but no one takes it seriously. There needs to be more resources and people who are prepared to look past the philosophical issues, look at the reports and investigate them properly.

"Whether you believe these things are foreign air forces testing prototype aircraft or whether you believe they are something more exotic, with the speeds and movements they are capable of, it's technology we would very much like to get hold of."

A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence insisted that all UFO sightings were investigated for "evidence to suggest that UK airspace has been compromised by hostile or unauthorised air activity."

She said: "Unless there is such evidence, the MoD doesn't attempt to positively identify what was seen."

Mr Pope is continuing his UFO research in a private capacity since leaving the MoD and is recognised as a leading authority on UFOs and the unexpected.

He has written four science fiction books drawing on his experience at the MoD, and lectures around the world on the subject.

He has appeared on BBC Newsnight and Radio 4's Today programme and has acted as consultant on numerous television documentaries.

Time to Start a Fire and Smoke out the RINOS

Lets face facts we lost the Congress the Dems didn't win it. We lost it due to lack of Conservative Leadership. The buffoons that have led the party for the last 6 years refused to fight for the belief system that got them elected. Conservatism is what it's all about. Without standing for those beliefs. The belief of Smaller Government, the belief in Fiscal Responsibility and balanced budgets, the belief in speaking the truth about our adversaries both foreign and domestic. And what I mean by that last one the domestic enemy is the Liberal.

People like John McCain do not stand for our party, nor any of the so called leaders like Hasert and Frist and the RNC. These people REFUSE to strike back when our beliefs and our people were attacked.

These idiots could not even stop ILLEGAL Immigration. This issue is almost as great a threat to our country as the Terrorists. Now they will grant Amnesty to 20 Million Illegals, and create a guest worker program. Not for educated people that can add Doctors and Engineers to our ranks but migrant workers that take construction Union jobs at 16-30 dollars an hour (oh I forgot Americans won't do those jobs). If you think I'm wrong check out who is rebuilding New Orleans. The construction in that city is being done by 90% ILLEGALS and is being paid for by our tax money.

If we don't force OUR party to recognize what WE WANT the dems will not only control the Congress but we will also have Hillary as President.

I say we start a barbeque and put RINO meat on the Grill

First Shot at Impeachment

Elizabeth Holtzman has been a US Congresswoman, the District Attorney of Brooklyn, and was Member of House panel that impeached Richard Nixon.

She is now leading a grassroots campaign to Impeach GW Bush. This campaign will begin this Saturday Nov 11th at the Constitution Center in Philly. Ms. Holtzman has a book The Impeachment of George W. Bush

This wackjob believes that the President is guilty of High Crimes and misdemeanors. She defines these as abuse of Presidential powers and subversion of the constitution. To back those charges she cites: The NSA Wiretap Program, Lies getting us into Iraq not WMD but the connection between Bin Laden and Saddam, and last but not least the Joe Wilson no yellow cake was ever sought by Saddam in Niger. Brought up by citing the British intelligence report in the State of The Union Address.

She believes the "evidence" will rally the people behind her cause....

ROCKETS FROM GAZA...

I note that the world's most oppressed people, the Palestinians of Gaza, continue to show their willingness to embrace peace with Israel by....firing more Qassam rockets into Israel's southern Negev region.

One rocket landed dozens of meters from Sderot's crowded outdoor market, causing panic. Three other rockets landed in open areas. As ever the Palestinian terrorists launching this missiles like to hide behind civilians so that when Israel responds, the odds are a few innocent civilians can be killed which is great PR for our Pali pals.

Give these people a State? I wouldn't given them a bucket. I'm afraid Palestinian society continues to demonstrate a deep seated sickness, indeed a pathological hatred of Israel, that makes it totally unfit to hold any sovereign power. Those who agitate for Palestinians to be given the status of a Nation should ask themselves what message does the sending of Qassam rockets deliver to Israel?
