KENNEDY CAR CRASH COVER-UP?
Thu May 04 2006 17:12:05 ET

Police labor union officials asked acting Chief Christopher McGaffin this afternoon to allow a Capitol Police officer to complete his investigation into an early-morning car crash involving Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.), son of Sen. Ted Kennedy.ROLL CALL reports: According to a letter sent by Officer Greg Baird, acting chairman of the USCP FOP, the wreck took place at approximately 2:45 a.m. Thursday when Kennedy's car, operating with its running lights turned off, narrowly missed colliding with a Capitol Police cruiser and smashed into a security barricade at First and C streets Southeast.“The driver exited the vehicle and he was observed to be staggering,” Baird’s letter states. Officers approached the driver, who “declared to them he was a Congressman and was late to a vote. The House had adjourned nearly three hours before this incident. It was Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy from Rhode Island.”Baird wrote that Capitol Police Patrol Division units, who are trained in driving under the influence cases, were not allowed to perform basic field sobriety tests on the Congressman. Instead, two sergeants, who also responded to the accident, proceeded to confer with the Capitol Police watch commander on duty and then “ordered all of the Patrol Division Units to leave the scene and that they were taking over.”A source tells the DRUDGE REPORT: "It was apparent that the driver was intoxicated (stumbling) and claimed he was in a hurry to make a vote. "When it became apparent who it was, instead of processing a normal DWI, the watch commander had the Patrol units clear the scene. The commander allowed other building officials drive Kennedy home." This morning's incident comes just over two weeks after Kennedy was involved in a car accident in Rhode Island. "I was involved in a traffic accident last night at First and C Street SE near the U.S. Capitol," Kennedy said in a written statement released by his office. "I consumed no alcohol prior to the incident. I will fully cooperate with the Capitol Police in whatever investigation they choose to undertake."

Remember The Alamo!

In the current battle over our Southern Border it is time to put it into an historical perspective. Most people don't appreciate history, as for myself I love it. It helps keep things grounded including the events of today. We are supposed to remember the events of the past, so that we may learn from them. This is also the reason that so many on the left are so busy rewriting history so that our children don't learn truthful lessons, and instead are taught PC history denying them the ability to learn both the good lessons and the bad ones. If they study this countries history most of our current politicians and teachers would be hung for TREASON.

Lets just look at the problem on our southern border. We are being overrun, and the army of ILLEGALS that are overrunning us are raping and pillaging our system of government. As any conquering army they are now setting the demands, and theirs are Citizenship, Healthcare, and Welfare.

Also like a conquering army they are laying claim to the land that they feel they have conquered. In this case they want 5 of the lower States. (Texas, California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico).

As in the past we need to fight this invasion. Not with guns and and forts but with votes and demands of our own.

Here is some information gathered by fellow blogger Sparky. He has a better grasp on this situation than any of our politicians and Sparky is in England.

Remember The Alamo

The Alamo was remembered, as well as the Goliad massacre (perpetrated by order of General Santa Anna), forty-six days later, on April 21, 1836 at the Battle of San Jacinto, where 783 men led by General Sam Houston defeated 1,500 Mexicans. The battle lasted only eighteen minutes. When all was over, 630 men of the Mexican army were dead; 730 were prisoners.Nine Texans lost their lives.General Santa Anna, disguised as a peasant, was captured the following day.The independence of Texas was won !some useful links:http://members.tripod.com/aries46/alamo.htm

Here is a list of those who defended your Alamo, When you read the story of why and how they were willing to die for their independence, and the heroism of certain death they must have to a man knew they faced that day, made me proud of the achievements and honour, and I’m not even an American. You have to ram your history down your leaders throats, they are giving up your USA by stealth!!!http://members.tripod.com/aries4...46/

Heroes of the Alamo

These are the men who possessed an unwavering courage to stand and fight against tyranny in an ageless struggle for freedom. These are the men who fought overwhelming odds and found a place in history. These are the men who decided to stand and die for their ideals.

These are the men of the Alamo!

"SCREAMING MARY" HONOURED

From David Vance of A Tangled Web

I note that the moral cesspit of the United Nations has decided to honour as a "Champion of the Earth" an Iranian terrorist called Massoumeh Ebtekar aka "Screaming Mary".
She won the award for her "creativity, vision and leadership, and the potential of her work and ideas for replication across the globe."
So, who is Ms Ebtekar aka "Screaming Mary? She was given her nickname by the American press during the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis when she was spokesperson for the hostage-takers.

"...,she was especially disliked by many of the hostages...in part because of her endless propagandizing. She would saunter through the captured embassy with a camera crew in tow, urging the hostages to describe their ordeal in upbeat terms. "You have been treated well, haven't you?" was her constant refrain. During one such filming session, in the final days of captivity, Army Sergeant Regis Regan got so fed up with Ebtekar that he let loose with a stream of invective and was dragged into a hallway for a beating"

This is what the United Nations rewards.

A Little GOOD News

We're almost there…
The process of forming the cabinet has reached a good milestone that promises an end to the long disputes that consumed months over who-gets-what especially when it came to security-related posts that are no more a problem, actually some analysts and politicians expect the next 24 hours to witness the announcement of the final formation of a large part of the cabinet.

Retired Border Patrolman Writes Open Letter to Sen. Bill Frist

Posted by PHX - David J. Stoddard on Friday April 7, 2006

Dear Senator Frist:
There is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about illegal aliens, particularly illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Honduran aliens.

1. Illegal aliens generally do NOT want U.S. citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a U.S. citizen. Mexicans, and other nationalities want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What illegal aliens want are benefits of American residence without paying the price.

2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. Illegal aliens are doing jobs that Americans can't take and still support their families. Illegal aliens take low wage jobs, live dozens in a single residence home, share expenses and send money to their home country. There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a decent wage.

3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. They are NOT homeless and they are NOT Americans. Some left jobs in their home countries. They come to send money to their real home as evidenced by the more than 20 billion dollars sent out of the country each year by illegal aliens. These illegal aliens knowingly and willfully entered this nation in violation of the law and therefore assumed the risk of detection and deportation. Those who brought their alien children assumed the responsibility and risk on behalf of their children.

4. Illegal aliens are NOT critical to the economy. Illegal aliens constitute less than 5% of the workforce. However, they reduce wages and benefits for lawful U.S. residents.

5. This is NOT an immigrant nation. There are 280 million native born Americans. While it is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (legal immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another.

6. The United States is welcoming to legal immigrants. Illegal aliens are not immigrants by definition. The U.S. accepts more lawful immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.

7. There is no such thing as the "Hispanic vote". Hispanics are white, brown, black and every shade in between. Hispanics are Republicans, Democrats, Anarchists, Communists, Marxists and Independents. The so-called "Hispanic vote" is a myth. Pandering to illegal aliens to get the Hispanic vote is a dead end.

8. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans have resented the United States. During World War I Mexico allowed German Spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the U.S. During World War II Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the U.S. from Mexico. During the Cold War Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U.S. to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and applauded all across Mexico. Today Mexican school children are taught that the U.S. stole California, Arizona, new Mexico and Texas. If you don't believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their schoolchildren.

9. Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. At least 1 billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America, then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life. I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?

10. There is a labor shortage in this country. This is a lie. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American housewives, senior citizens, students, unemployed and underemployed who would gladly take jobs at a decent wage.

11. It is racist to want secure borders. What is racist about wanting secure borders and a secure America? What is racist about not wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our laws, steal identities, and take the American Dream without paying the price?

For about four decades American politicians have refused to secure our borders and look after the welfare of middle class Americans. These politicians have been of both parties. A huge debt to American society has resulted. This debt will be satisfied and the interest will be high. There has already been riots in the streets by illegal aliens and their supporters. There will be more. You, as a politician, have a choice to offend the illegal aliens who have stolen into this country and demanded the rights afforded to U.S. citizens or to offend those of us who are stakeholders in this country. The interest will be steep either way. There will be civil unrest. There will be a reckoning. Do you have the courage to do what is right for America? Or, will you bow to the wants and needs of those who don't even have the right to remain here?

There will be a reckoning. It will come in November of this year, again in 2008 and yet again in 2010.
We will not allow America to be stolen by third world agitators and thieves.

Are US Troops in Iran? (CM)
Rep. Dennis Kucinich thinks so.
Kucinich asked US Ambassador John Bolton about Sy Hersh’s “New Yorker” article making that claim. Bolton said he hadn’t read it.
Kucinich: If I gave you this article right now, walked it over, would you look at it?
Bolton: I don’t think so, honestly, Congressman, because I don’t have time to read much fiction.

May Day Mayhem!

Any company that had to shut its doors today due to lack of workers needs to have the IRS and the INS scouring their books and workers tommorow.

Today's Protests Shutter L.A.'s Produce and Garment Districts
By Jesus Sanchez, Times Staff Writer4:47 PM PDT, May 1, 2006
The normally bustling downtown Los Angeles produce and garment districts were virtually shut down today, and truck traffic at the ports was down sharply after many employees protesting the nation's immigration policy's did not show up for work. The dearth of activity in the produce and garment districts, both heavily dependent on immigrant labor, was so far the most dramatic sign of the impact of today's organized immigration protests on local commerce. Only sporadic business closures and staffing shortages reported across the remainder of Southern California.

One State is getting it RIGHT!
Arizona calls for crackdown as immigrants protest
By David Schwartz
PHOENIX (Reuters) - Lawmakers in Arizona, a fast-growing border state that is the biggest U.S. entry point for illegal immigrants, called for a crackdown on undocumented workers on Monday, as millions nationwide protested to demand new rights and respect for foreign residents.
Republican legislators prepared to introduce potentially one of the toughest state anti-immigrant proposals, a $100 million package that would deploy National Guard troops to the desert border with Mexico and use radar to track anyone trying to sneak across the border.

This is how the MSM is SPINNING the issue.
NEW YORK (CNN) -- We all awoke to headlines in our nation's most important newspapers reminding us that this is "A Day Without Immigrants." Not illegal immigrants, mind you, but immigrants.

USA Today headlined today's demonstrations and boycott "On Immigration's Front Lines." The New York Times headlines its story "With Calls for Boycott by Immigrants, Employers Gird for Unknown." The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times are both calling their coverage "The Immigration Debate."

These major newspapers obviously don't want to disturb their readers with the information that today's demonstrations and boycott are about illegal immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens.

CNN and Fox News are both using a banner calling their coverage "A Day Without Immigrants," while MSNBC is titling its coverage "Immigrant Anger."

Most of the mainstream media has been absolutely co-opted by the open borders and illegal immigration advocates.

On all the "News Shows" with all the pundits NO ONE is asking the question "OK we give the 20million that are here now Amnesty, what do we do with the next 20million that are pouring over the border as we speak?"

These People are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS they need to be dealt with PERIOD. The BORDER needs to be SECURED. Build the Damn WALL and fine any company found with an ILLEGAL working for them $10,000 an ILLEGAL and the jobs will dry up and they will go HOME on their own.

Unity Through Autonomy in Iraq
By JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR. and LESLIE H. GELB
Published: May 1, 2006

A decade ago, Bosnia was torn apart by ethnic cleansing and facing its demise as a single country. After much hesitation, the United States stepped in decisively with the Dayton Accords, which kept the country whole by, paradoxically, dividing it into ethnic federations, even allowing Muslims, Croats and Serbs to retain separate armies. Which is part of the reason that we still have troops there to this day. With the help of American and other forces, Bosnians have lived a decade in relative peace and are now slowly strengthening their common central government, including disbanding those separate armies last year. Why then aren't you calling for our troops to come home from there then? I mean after all it was an Illegal Action it wasn't Sanctioned by the UN.
Now the Bush administration, despite its profound strategic misjudgment in Iraq, Where did we misjudge Senator be specific once in your life. has a similar opportunity. To seize it, however, America must get beyond the present false choice between "staying the course" and "bringing the troops home now" and choose a third way that would wind down our military presence responsibly while preventing chaos and preserving our key security goals. Oh this is gonna be good, listen up folks a master plan by the village Idiot.
The idea, as in Bosnia, is to maintain a united Iraq by decentralized it, giving each ethno-religious group — Kurd, Sunni Arab and Shiite Arab — room to run its own affairs, while leaving the central government in charge of common interests. In other words divide it into three separate states. The one thing we have been negotiating against since major hostilities ended. The one sure way to guarantee that the country breaks into Civil War That's the Village Idiots Plan LOL We could drive this in place with irresistible sweeteners for the Sunnis to join in, a plan designed by the military for withdrawing and redeploying American forces, and a regional nonaggression pact. We Pull Out and divide them into three states with three separate armies and three separate governments except for a small government with no army that will tell the other 3 how to share the Oil Money, and we make them sign a piece of paper that they will all listen to the little govt with no Army... What an ASS
It is increasingly clear that President Bush does not have a strategy for victory in Iraq. Rather, he hopes to prevent defeat and pass the problem along to his successor. Your plan guarantees FAILURE Meanwhile, the frustration of Americans is mounting so fast that Congress might end up mandating a rapid pullout, even at the risk of precipitating chaos and a civil war that becomes a regional war. Oh PLEASE DO That would be a Dream Come True. If the Dems win in 06 and They demand or using the Senators word MANDATE an immediate withdraw of our troops let the Iraqis be damned.
As long as American troops are in Iraq in significant numbers, the insurgents can't win and we can't lose. But intercommunal violence has surpassed the insurgency as the main security threat. Militias rule swathes of Iraq and death squads kill dozens daily. Where Senator? Show us where you pulled this out of, or are you having a Vietnam flashback and are just a little confused? Sectarian cleansing has recently forced tens of thousands from their homes. Did anyone see this on the NEWS don't you think if tens of thousands of refugees were fleeing their homes That we would have LIVE FILM on CNN, MSNBC, and NY Times Reporters Shoving it in our faces to PROVE How wrong Bush is??? On top of this, President Bush did not request additional reconstruction assistance and is slashing funds for groups promoting democracy. Name Two.
Iraq's new government of national unity will not stop the deterioration. BULLSHIT! The Iraqis just last week reached an agreement on a Prime Minister to lead them that all 3 Sects can work with. Sectarian Violence in the last 3 months has dropped by half, but facts mean nothing to this Bozo. Iraqis have had three such governments in the last three years, each with Sunnis in key posts, without noticeable effect. The alternative path out of this terrible trap has five elements. How many YEARS did our own country take to get the details worked out? Do you even have a clue Senator?
The first is to establish three largely autonomous regions with a viable central government in Baghdad. The Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite regions would each be responsible for their own domestic laws, administration and internal security. The central government would control border defense, foreign affairs and oil revenues. Baghdad would become a federal zone, while densely populated areas of mixed populations would receive both multisectarian and international police protection. The UN LOL
Decentralization is hardly as radical as it may seem: the Iraqi Constitution, in fact, already provides for a federal structure and a procedure for provinces to combine into regional governments. Everything we have been trying NOT to do. Instead of having one think of themselves as an Iraqi He wants them to remain as separate Fueding Tribes.
Besides, things are already heading toward partition: Its Failing anyway so lets help it fail and run away at the same time. increasingly, each community supports federalism, if only as a last resort. The Sunnis, who until recently believed they would retake power in Iraq, are beginning to recognize that they won't and don't want to live in a Shiite-controlled, highly centralized state with laws enforced by sectarian militias. The Shiites know they can dominate the government, but they can't defeat a Sunni insurrection. The Kurds will not give up their 15-year-old autonomy. And they are all finally trying to work together and he wants to end it. Why is that Senator? The events on the ground in Iraq are exactly opposite as you describe them.
Some will say moving toward strong regionalism would ignite sectarian cleansing. NO SHIT But that's exactly what is going on already, in ever-bigger waves. Once again the facts, the Numbers prove you wrong Senator. Others will argue that it would lead to partition. But a breakup is already under way. As it was in Bosnia, a strong federal system is a viable means to prevent both perils in Iraq. This man is a total ass they just come together after 3 months of trying to get the right leader, they get him and he says that's it, it's Breaking Up.
The second element would be to entice the Sunnis into joining the federal system with an offer they couldn't refuse. To begin with, running their own region should be far preferable to the alternatives: being dominated by Kurds and Shiites in a central government or being the main victims of a civil war. But they also have to be given money to make their oil-poor region viable. The Constitution must be amended to guarantee Sunni areas 20 percent (approximately their proportion of the population) of all revenues. We could call it the Sunni Wind Fall Tax
The third component would be to ensure the protection of the rights of women and ethno-religious minorities by increasing American aid to Iraq but tying it to respect for those rights. Yeah run away and just throw Money at it. Such protections will be difficult, especially in the Shiite-controlled south, but Washington has to be clear that widespread violations will stop the cash flow. LOL
Fourth, the president must direct the military to design a plan for withdrawing and redeploying our troops from Iraq by 2008 Ah the Mandatory date for the terrorists to wait for. (while providing for a small but effective residual force to combat terrorists and keep the neighbors honest). What size force will it take to keep 3 heavily armed camps with no reason to cooperate with each from exploding into Civil War Senator? We must avoid a precipitous withdrawal that would lead to a national meltdown , but we also can't have a substantial long-term American military presence. That would do terrible damage to our armed forces, break American and Iraqi public support for the mission and leave Iraqis without any incentive to shape up. Yeah Iran will obey that LOL. For all that Iraq's neighbors might gain by picking at its pieces, each faces the greater danger of a regional war. A "contact group" of major powers would be set up to lean on neighbors to comply with the deal. Will that "contact group" be able to hold back a NUCLEAR Iran?
Mr. Bush has spent three years in a futile effort to establish a strong central government in Baghdad, and has finally achieved it that's what has you concerned Senator. leaving us without a real political settlement, Wrong with a deteriorating security situation.
