It's Time For a New REPUBLICAN CONTRACT WITH AMERICA

What ever happened to these principals and values?

As Republican Members of the House of Representatives and as citizens seeking to join that body we propose not just to change its policies, but even more important, to restore the bonds of trust between the people and their elected representatives.

I look around me today at my party and its' leadership has lost its course Domesticly also its ability to articulate our values and desires for the country. The most success we ever had as a party in achieve this was through the Genius of Newt and the Contract with America. For those that don't remember or never understood due to the distortions of the Press here is what it was.

REPUBLICAN CONTRACT WITH AMERICA

As Republican Members of the House of Representatives and as citizens seeking to join that body we propose not just to change its policies, but even more important, to restore the bonds of trust between the people and their elected representatives.

That is why, in this era of official evasion and posturing, we offer instead a detailed agenda for national renewal, a written commitment with no fine print.

This year's election offers the chance, after four decades of one-party control, to bring to the House a new majority that will transform the way Congress works. That historic change would be the end of government that is too big, too intrusive, and too easy with the public's money. It can be the beginning of a Congress that respects the values and shares the faith of the American family.

Like Lincoln, our first Republican president, we intend to act "with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right." To restore accountability to Congress. To end its cycle of scandal and disgrace. To make us all proud again of the way free people govern themselves.
On the first day of the 104th Congress, the new Republican majority will immediately pass the following major reforms, aimed at restoring the faith and trust of the American people in their government:

FIRST, require all laws that apply to the rest of the country also apply equally to the Congress;

SECOND, select a major, independent auditing firm to conduct a comprehensive audit of Congress for waste, fraud or abuse;

THIRD, cut the number of House committees, and cut committee staff by one-third;

FOURTH, limit the terms of all committee chairs;

FIFTH, ban the casting of proxy votes in committee;

SIXTH, require committee meetings to be open to the public;

SEVENTH, require a three-fifths majority vote to pass a tax increase;

EIGHTH, guarantee an honest accounting of our Federal Budget by implementing zero base-line budgeting.

Thereafter, within the first 100 days of the 104th Congress, we shall bring to the House Floor the following bills, each to be given full and open debate, each to be given a clear and fair vote and each to be immediately available this day for public inspection and scrutiny.

1. THE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY ACT: A balanced budget/tax limitation amendment and a legislative line-item veto to restore fiscal responsibility to an out- of-control Congress, requiring them to live under the same budget constraints as families and businesses. (Bill Text) (Description)
2. THE TAKING BACK OUR STREETS ACT: An anti-crime package including stronger truth-in- sentencing, "good faith" exclusionary rule exemptions, effective death penalty provisions, and cuts in social spending from this summer's "crime" bill to fund prison construction and additional law enforcement to keep people secure in their neighborhoods and kids safe in their schools. (Bill Text) (Description)
3. THE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY ACT: Discourage illegitimacy and teen pregnancy by prohibiting welfare to minor mothers and denying increased AFDC for additional children while on welfare, cut spending for welfare programs, and enact a tough two-years-and-out provision with work requirements to promote individual responsibility. (Bill Text) (Description)
4. THE FAMILY REINFORCEMENT ACT: Child support enforcement, tax incentives for adoption, strengthening rights of parents in their children's education, stronger child pornography laws, and an elderly dependent care tax credit to reinforce the central role of families in American society. (Bill Text) (Description)
5. THE AMERICAN DREAM RESTORATION ACT: A S500 per child tax credit, begin repeal of the marriage tax penalty, and creation of American Dream Savings Accounts to provide middle class tax relief. (Bill Text) (Description)
6. THE NATIONAL SECURITY RESTORATION ACT: No U.S. troops under U.N. command and restoration of the essential parts of our national security funding to strengthen our national defense and maintain our credibility around the world. (Bill Text) (Description)
7. THE SENIOR CITIZENS FAIRNESS ACT: Raise the Social Security earnings limit which currently forces seniors out of the work force, repeal the 1993 tax hikes on Social Security benefits and provide tax incentives for private long-term care insurance to let Older Americans keep more of what they have earned over the years. (Bill Text) (Description)
8. THE JOB CREATION AND WAGE ENHANCEMENT ACT: Small business incentives, capital gains cut and indexation, neutral cost recovery, risk assessment/cost-benefit analysis, strengthening the Regulatory Flexibility Act and unfunded mandate reform to create jobs and raise worker wages. (Bill Text) (Description)
9. THE COMMON SENSE LEGAL REFORM ACT: "Loser pays" laws, reasonable limits on punitive damages and reform of product liability laws to stem the endless tide of litigation. (Bill Text) (Description)
10. THE CITIZEN LEGISLATURE ACT: A first-ever vote on term limits to replace career politicians with citizen legislators. (Description)
Further, we will instruct the House Budget Committee to report to the floor and we will work to enact additional budget savings, beyond the budget cuts specifically included in the legislation described above, to ensure that the Federal budget deficit will be less than it would have been without the enactment of these bills.
Respecting the judgment of our fellow citizens as we seek their mandate for reform, we hereby pledge our names to this Contract with America.

We need to set forth a New Contract with America with goals that are current with todays problems. Our Leaders in the RNC do noy understand that there lack of a spine to spell out our Agenda is as bad as the Democrats lack of an Agenda. In my next post I will put forth my feelings of what the New Contract should be.

Netanyahu hints could consider Iran nuclear strike

God I just love BeBe

Former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted that he could consider a pre-emptive air strike against Iran's nuclear installations if he were to be re-elected. Netanyahu, who is widely expected to regain the leadership of the right-wing Likud party later this month, said Israel needed to "act in the spirit" of the late premier Menachem Begin who ordered an air strike on Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor in 1981.

"I view the development of the Iranian nuclear (programme) as a paramount threat and as a real danger to the future of the state of Israel," Netanyahu told the Yediot Aharonot newspaper.
"Israel needs to do everything to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear threat against it."
"We need to act in the spirit of Menachem Begin, who defied the entire world and with a bold step prevented Iraq from arming itself with nuclear weapons."

El Baradei: Iran only months away from a bomb

By JPOST.COM STAFF
IAEA chairman Muhammad ElBaradei on Monday confirmed Israel's assessment that Iran is only a few months away from creating an atomic bomb.
If Teheran indeed resumed its uranium enrichment in other plants, as threatened, it will take it only "a few months" to produce a nuclear bomb, El-Baradei told The Independent.
On the other hand, he warned, any attempt to resolve the crisis by non-diplomatic means would "open a Pandora's box. There would be efforts to isolate Iran; Iran would retaliate; and at the end of the day you have to go back to the negotiating table to find the solution."

When are we going to put a stop to this Madness? Are we going to wait untill Israel or N.Y. is glowing? It is time to react to these bastards in the only way that they will understand. BOMB EM. The loony bin that is Iran needs to be Destroyed. How much do you want to bet though that Teddy Kennedy & Nancy Pelosi will see it diffrently, at least untill a nuke goes off and then they'll blame Bush.

From FoxNews: Iran Wants Full-Fledged Space Program.
Iran's space agency is trying to snap up technology from abroad as fast as possible for its satellite program, fearing the West will seek to impose restrictions like those put on the Iranian nuclear program.
Iran has major ambitions in space, looking to show off its technological abilities, monitor its neighborhood — where the United States has hundreds of thousands of troops — and establish itself as a regional superpower.
Others are concerned about the program's military applications, particularly Israel, whose existence is opposed by the hard-line Islamic regime in Iran. Iran's Shahab-3 missile, with a range of 1,240 miles, already can reach Israel as well as U.S. forces across the Middle East.
Leave it to AP to come up with a diplomatic euphemism for genocide.
According to the article, Russia "appears to be the main partner in transferring space technology to Iran." And it's not just "space technology." From FoxNews: Russia, Iran Defend Weapons Deal.
Russia's weapons sales to Iran are purely for defensive purposes, a government spokesman said Saturday, in response to reports that Russia was selling $1 billion worth of weapons to Iran.
The news reports said Russian was selling Iran advanced missiles and other systems, but the Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mikhail Kamynin, did not comment on specifics, saying in a statement only that they were "exclusively defensive weapons."
Since when was selling "defensive weapons" to a bloodthirsty regime any better than selling "offensive weapons"?

Quote of The Day

The Democrats’ 9/11 slush fund

Look What Our Jersey Neighbors Are Up To.

By Michelle Malkin

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com

For the past four years, Democrats have ceaselessly attacked Republicans for "exploiting" the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
When President Bush showed his support for rescue workers at Ground Zero, Democrats cried "exploitation!"
When the Bush administration launched a long-overdue global war on terror, Democrats cried "exploitation!"
When Bush signed the Patriot Act, Democrats cried "exploitation!"
When Republicans held their national convention in New York City last year, Democrats cried "exploitation!"
And when Karl Rove gave a speech to New York conservatives pointing out the Democrats' passive counterterror strategy, Democrats cried "exploitation!"

But when an investigative reporter exposes Democrats raiding federal homeland security grants and turning 9/11 money into a party slush fund, where, oh where, are all the indignant liberal watchdogs to protest such clear and unconscionable political exploitation?

Can't find a single barking hound on the Left. Just chirping crickets.

This week, Newark Star Ledger reporter Rick Hepp revealed that the office of acting Democratic New Jersey Gov. Richard Codey "played a key role in doling out millions of dollars in state homeland security grants this year to legislative districts controlled by his party," contrary to his public denials. The federal funds had been originally sent to the state for vital counterterrorism purchases things like first-responder equipment that small towns might not have been able to afford. Democrats control both houses of the New Jersey legislature, as well as the governor's office.

One memo obtained by Hepp from a top official in New Jersey's Attorney General's Office describes the homeland security money as "Christmas Tree funding" a phrase, explains Hepp, long used around the capitol "to describe grants given along party lines to loyal and politically connected lawmakers for use on pet projects in home districts."

The Star Ledger had earlier reported that 93 percent of the $23 million in federal homeland security money doled out in the Garden State since 2002 had gone to districts controlled by Democrats. More than $8 million was allocated for the program for fiscal year 2005, with 94 percent going to districts controlled by Democrats. "The last time I saw an election with a percentage like that is when Saddam Hussein ran for president," quipped state Sen. Bill Gormley, R-Atlantic.

Allen Gives GOP Reason To Dry Tears

Could this be the one. To beat Hillary?

Senator Urges Loyalty To Conservative Ideals
By Chris L. Jenkins
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, December 4, 2005

HOT SPRINGS, Va., Dec. 3 -- Sen. George Allen rallied fellow Virginia Republicans to his 2006 reelection campaign Saturday, telling them that he would stand for low taxes, energy independence and opposition to "activist judges" on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Allen, who is widely thought to be considering a presidential bid in 2008, also told the state party activists gathered for an annual conference that they must stand behind "common-sense Jeffersonian conservative principles" that have helped propel the GOP in national and state elections.

"We will try to motivate and inspire people for ideas, for goals, for a mission," Allen said of the campaign during a luncheon address before about 500 people at the Homestead resort. His speech focused more on national and international issues than on Virginia politics.

"Less taxation, less litigation, greater energy independence in this country. These are the foundational ideals that [Americans and Virginians] believe in."

Hillary's Military Offensive

What a load of crap... There is an article in NewsWeek that tries to make Hillary sound pro-military. Lets look at some of the things that are said in this article. By Susannah Meadows, With Howard Fineman and John Barry.

Dec. 12, 2005 issue - This summer, the reserve Officers Association presented Sen. Hillary Clinton with its President's Award for her work on behalf of soldiers. On the morning of the ceremony, the event's organizers were a little nervous. While they were in the White House, the Clintons were never regarded warmly within the ranks or among the brass, and the First Lady was seen as especially hostile to the military. (There are still soldiers who swear by the myth that she banned uniforms at the White House.)

This was not a myth it was a documented fact that much has been written about and witnesses have made statements on the record. Also it must be noted that the award that she was given was not voted on by the rank and file of the Military.

"It is no accident that hawks inside and outside the military are reconsidering Hillary Clinton."

What hawks would that be? I notice they mention NO names. I guess their talking about hawks like Congressman Murtha. I ask anyone to post a statement from any Hawk that says Hillary would be a good President for the military. They simply don't exist.

This line here made me laugh due to fact that it's pure bull and shows the fishbowl of narrowness that these three writers live in.

"She may have entered the Senate in 2001 with three strikes against her—she was a woman, a Democrat and a Clinton."

Those three Strikes are the only reason she DID get elected. She had no political record except her failure at trying to socialize a seventh of the economy with her health care scam that would have had beaurocrats deciding what medical treatment we get.

"But Senator Clinton immediately began a methodical campaign to undo her image as a dovish liberal with no interest in military affairs. Post 9/11, she was quick to recognize that Democrats—and especially one all but openly running for president—were vulnerable on defense issues."

In other words her and her husband sat down to figure out how to play both sides of an issue that she knew if she was publicly honest about she would have NO chance of ever getting elected as President. How do they do this? Its simple. Hillary never makes any antiwar statements in public, while at the same time her husband travels the world blasting the military and the war on terror. This coming from a man that had the chance to have Bin Laden handed to him and refused. Not to mention that the only action he ever took against terror was to fire some missle at an aspirin factory when it came out in the press that he left stains on a dress.

"Her Senate office has received so many e-mails from frustrated Democrats that she responded last week with a 1,600-word letter, in which she took responsibility for her 2002 vote to authorize the use of force in Iraq, but still blamed President George W. Bush for prewar intelligence failures and the current mess on the ground."

God would I love to read that letter. Why wasn't it put out as a Press Release?

Yes she blames GW for the entire worlds intelligence failure. The UN, The French, The Germans, The Italians, Great Britain and the Mossad - those just happen to be some of the intelligence agencies that had the same intelligence reports that we had. They were also the same reports that her husband used to cover up public embarassment about leaving DNA on a dress that didn't belong to his wife.

"Clinton has used her platform on Armed Services to educate herself on defense issues. She receives briefings from military officials and calls big thinkers from her husband's Rolodex, including Madeleine Albright and Richard Holbrooke, for advice."

I love that "Big Thinkers". What did those big thinkers achieve when they were in office? Was there any progress between the Palestinians and the Jews? Was there any response to the numerouse terrorist attacks that our troops suffered during the Clinton years? The policies that these people put in place led to the mess that we are in now. I am surprised that they don't have her quoted as getting advice from Jamie Gorelick who created the wall during the Clinton years preventing law enforcement and our intelligence agencies from talking to each other. Which evidence has come to light that they could have arrested at least half of the 9/11 terrorists before 9/11 if this wall wasn't in place, through Able Danger.

"If she runs in '08, she'll have to use her military education to stake out clear positions not only on Iraq, but Syria, Iran, North Korea and beyond. So far, she's not getting out ahead. When asked about a strategy for leaving Iraq, she waved off the question. "Nobody has all the answers," she told NEWSWEEK."

"If she runs in 08" What a laugh as if she is not running. These reporters have to stop acting as press agents and start acting like reporters, but we all know they never have been reporters just a bunch of opinion journalists doing the art of spin. A perfect example is why mention Syria, Iran, and North Korea if they don't have the balls to ask her what her positions on these critical countries are. Let alone letting her pass on an honest stand on what she would do different in Iraq. Isn't it supposed to be a reporters job to get and report facts? I guess these three forgot that huh.

They actually let this statement go by "When asked about a strategy for leaving Iraq, she waved off the question. "Nobody has all the answers," she told NEWSWEEK." Well sweetheart your running for President if you don't have an answer why the hell should anyone vote for you.

All in all Newsweek prints anything except news and this Fluff story is proof.

Another Good one from Mikes America

Withdraw from California: It's a Quagmire, Another Vietnam!

Perhaps someone should tell House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi who hails from California, that her state is a quagmire... another Vietnam! Better pull our troops outta there double pronto and let the Mexicans take over!
WorldNetDaily: California homicides dwarf Iraq deaths: Recently released crime statistics show the homicide rate in California is 265 percent higher than the death rate suffered by U.S. and British military personnel in Iraq. According to the report 'Crime in California 2004,' compiled by California Attorney General Bill Lockyer, there were 2,394 reported homicides in the Golden State last year. That compares with 905 deaths of coalition forces in Iraq, chiefly Americans and Brits, during the same time period.
