Al-Qaeda's terrifying vision of a devastated America in the wake of a nuclear attack
Washington is laid to waste. The Capitol is a blackened, smoking ruin. The White House has been razed. Countless thousands are dead.
This is the apocalyptic scene terrorists hope to create if they ever get their hands on a nuclear bomb.
The computer-generated image below was posted on an Islamic extremists' website yesterday.
It appeared as rumours swept the Internet that the FBI was warning that an Al Qaeda video was about to be released urging militants to use weapons of mass destruction to attack the West. The information was said to be coming from 'groups that monitor Islamic militant websites'.
The FBI was quick to point out that it had not issued any warning and that the video was not an official Al Qaeda release through its media arm, Al Sahab, but simply an ' amateur' collection of old footage spliced together and posted on the Internet.
U.S. analysts said a lot of effort had been put into the video - entitled Nuclear Jihad, The Ultimate Terror - with graphics, music, and clips of different leaders and groups.
The same expertise seems to have gone into creating this image of a devastated Washington.
Al Sahab puts out more than 80 'officially sanctioned' videos a year to keep up the propaganda on the West. And the Internet shows how easy it is to stir up militancy. One message with the Washington picture said: 'The next strike's in the heart of America. When? When? When? And How?'
Last night FBI sources said Al Qaeda was desperate to get its hands on a weapon of mass destruction, be it nuclear, chemical, or biological.
So far that is only a dream... or, as this picture suggests, a nightmare.
Iran still developing nuclear weapons (RWC)
Iran will likely have the means to produce nuclear weapons before the end of this year, says Israeli Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz.
Mofaz is a former Israeli Defense Minister and was once chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Force.
He said, at a speech at Yale University, that Iran could possibly build nuclear arms within months.
He also said that any means of ensuring that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons are valid.
“Israel will not tolerate a nuclear Iran, and I'd like to believe that the rest of the world will not allow it to happen.”
“All is fair in the efforts to make sure it doesn't."
He said the "Iranian regime is the number one threat to mankind in the 21st century.
“It is a multi-dimensional, multi-armed threat, which increases every day, every hour."
Ahmadinejad and Israeli's 60th Anniversary (RWC)
The mouthy Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has once again said that Israel will "be soon swept away."
It is the second time in the last couple of years that the Iranian president has predicted the eradication of the Jewish state.
Ahmadinejad seems to be playing with a shortage of marbles. He has recently claimed his country is being secretly led by the Islamic “Mahdi”, who has mysteriously returned across the centuries. As I recall, he is to make his appearance by popping out of a well.
About Israel’s 60th anniversary celebration, Ahmadinejad said last week:
"This terrorist and criminal state is backed by foreign powers, but it will soon be swept away by the Palestinians,"
“it would be futile to hold a birthday ceremony for something which is already dead."
The Iranian president said the anniversary celebrations can’t save this "rotten and stinking corpse." He meant Israel.
Ahmandinejad has said that the Jews in Israel should be sent to Europe or Alaska.

Friedman is an ASS
From Beirut to Jerusalem is a book written by Thomas L. Friedman chronicling his days as a reporter in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War and his journey in 1984 from Beirut to Jerusalem to cover unfolding events. It is a book that I would recommend to anyone interested in events in the Middle East. It was well written and quite informative. Other than that piece of work Thomas L Friedman is a total ass that should be laughed off the stage for the fool that he is. I'll use the following article as example.

Truth or Consequences

Imagine for a minute, just a minute, that someone running for president was able to actually tell the truth, the real truth, to the American people about what would be the best — I mean really the best — energy policy for the long-term economic health and security of our country. I realize this is a fantasy, but play along with me for a minute. What would this mythical, totally imaginary, truth-telling candidate say? (he certainly wouldn't say what you are about to suggest)
For starters, he or she would explain that there is no short-term fix for gasoline prices. Prices are what they are as a result of rising global oil demand from India, China and a rapidly growing Middle East on top of our own increasing consumption, a shortage of “sweet” crude that is used for the diesel fuel that Europe is highly dependent upon and our own neglect of effective energy policy for 30 years. (that much is true)
Cynical ideas, like the McCain-Clinton summertime gas-tax holiday, would only make the problem worse, and reckless initiatives like the Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep offer to subsidize gasoline for three years for people who buy its gas guzzlers are the moral equivalent of tobacco companies offering discounted cigarettes to teenagers. (Bullshit a tax cut always helps, and any corporation that wants to make it easier to buy it's product is a good thing. Good for the company that employs hundreds of thousands of workers mostly which are union members, and good for people that wish to purchase an American product)
I can’t say it better than my friend Tim Shriver, the chairman of Special Olympics, did in a Memorial Day essay in The Washington Post: “So Dodge wants to sell you a car you don’t really want to buy, that is not fuel-efficient, will further damage our environment, and will further subsidize oil states, some of which are on the other side of the wars we’re currently fighting. ... The planet be damned, the troops be forgotten, the economy be ignored: buy a Dodge.” (what a load of crap. Not even based in reality)
No, our mythical candidate would say the long-term answer is to go exactly the other way: guarantee people a high price of gasoline — forever. (Yes destroy the American economy permanently. That's what Friedman wants his fantasy President to do.)
This candidate would note that $4-a-gallon gasoline is really starting to impact driving behavior and buying behavior in way that $3-a-gallon gas did not. The first time we got such a strong price signal, after the 1973 oil shock, we responded as a country by demanding and producing more fuel-efficient cars. But as soon as oil prices started falling in the late 1980s and early 1990s, we let Detroit get us readdicted to gas guzzlers, and the price steadily crept back up to where it is today. (Detroit did NOT get us readdicted to gas guzzlers. The American public LOVES big cars. Also the impact of permanent high gas prices effects everything. Look around you every item you own travelled on a truck at some point. The high price of fuel has a ripple effect on every aspect of our lives, and it's not a good ripple effect.)
We must not make that mistake again. Therefore, what our mythical candidate would be proposing, argues the energy economist Philip Verleger Jr., is a “price floor” for gasoline: $4 a gallon for regular unleaded, which is still half the going rate in Europe today. Washington would declare that it would never let the price fall below that level. If it does, it would increase the federal gasoline tax on a monthly basis to make up the difference between the pump price and the market price. (so his recommended fix to the problem is "price controls" and an invocation of a permanent attack on the American economy.)
To ease the burden on the less well-off, “anyone earning under $80,000 a year would be compensated with a reduction in the payroll taxes,” said Verleger. Or, he suggested, the government could use the gasoline tax to buy back gas guzzlers from the public and “crush them.” (so he'll grant us a "tax break" that will either never occur or will be removed shortly after implementation. Washington has proved over and over that it can never do with a penny less of revenue. Add on top of that the call to SEIZE our property and destroy it. Yeah there is a real American ideal.)
But the message going forward to every car buyer and carmaker would be this: The price of gasoline is never going back down. Therefore, if you buy a big gas guzzler today, you are locking yourself into perpetually high gasoline bills. You are buying a pig that will eat you out of house and home. At the same time, if you, a manufacturer, continue building fleets of nonhybrid gas guzzlers, you are condemning yourself, your employees and shareholders to oblivion. (Why because dictators like you will decide for corporations and citizens what we can choose?)
What a cruel thing for a candidate to say? I disagree. Every decade we look back and say: “If only we had done the right thing then, we would be in a different position today.” (Your suggestions Mr. Friedman are NOT the right thing. They are a recipe for disaster.)
But no politician dared to do so. When gasoline was $2 a gallon, the government never would have imposed a $2 tax. Now that it is $4 a gallon, the government should at least keep it there, since it is really having the right effect. (Yeah ask the trucking industry, the manufacturing industry, the food industry, and the average American if it's having the right effect.)
I was visiting my local Toyota dealer in Bethesda, Md., last week to trade in one hybrid car for another. There is now a two-month wait to buy a Prius, which gets close to 50 miles per gallon. The dealer told me I was lucky. My hybrid was going up in value every day, so I didn’t have to worry about waiting a while for my new car. But if it were not a hybrid, he said, he would deduct each day $200 from the trade-in price for every $1-a-barrel increase in the OPEC price of crude oil. When I saw the rows and rows of unsold S.U.V.’s parked in his lot, I understood why.
We need to make a structural shift in our energy economy. Ultimately, we need to move our entire fleet to plug-in electric cars. The only way to get from here to there is to start now with a price signal that will force the change.
Barack Obama had the courage to tell voters that the McCain-Clinton summer gas-giveaway plan was a fraud. Wouldn’t it be amazing if he took the next step and put the right plan before the American people? Wouldn’t that just be amazing? (Yes it would be the final nail in the coffin of his political career.)
Mr. Friedman is a total ass. He has gone from being a decent journalist to a fanatical devotee in Cult of Man Made Global Warming. His Articles attest to this. There is NO alternative to Oil. Oil is used to manufacture millions of products that we use in every aspect of our lives. The answer to high gas prices is a simple and old one. Increase production. The U.S. sits on more oil than the Middle East for the last 50 years we have shut down domestic production.
The Environmentalists and their allies in government have placed us on a path of national suicide. With China, India, and Russia coming on line we have to guarantee our continued place in the world by doing what we do best, and that's produce the products we need.
The Environmentalists and their allies in government have destroyed the 3 industries that this country was built on and what gave us our place in the world. The Oil Business, The Steel Business, and The Automobile Industry. We must revitalize these industries or perish as a nation.

This Man Left a Woman to Die
Well as an Irish Catholic man, it looks like you may finally be called to account for that action. Along with the millions of others that died when you cut aid to the S Vietnamese allowing Genocide to take place all for your political gain. How many other sins that the public will never know about? God knows Teddy, be grateful it is he who will judge you and not I.

Boo Hoo Obama
Obama Warns GOP "Lay Off My Wife"
Obama Loses Argument With Wife Over Getting a Dog
By IMAEYEN IBANGA
May 19, 2008
Sen. Barack Obama ripped into a Republican ad today that targets comments made by his wife, Michelle, and called the GOP tactic "low class" and "detestable."
Boo Hoo, Boo Hoo, The Senators wife is a possible future First Lady of the United States, That alone makes her fair game. What even adds to that is the fact that Michelle Obama is a "True Disciple" of the Wrong Reverend Wright. She has sat there for 20 years and bought every line of the Wrong Reverend hook line and sinker. Her comments on the campaign trail attest to that. This spoiled couple of privilege that have never wanted for anything in their lives are trying to sell themselves as oppressed. They have more things that are off limits to talk about than the CIA.
The Illinois senator told "Good Morning America" that he expects hardball tactics from the Republicans if he becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.
"But I also think these folks should lay off my wife," he told "GMA" as his wife chuckled beside him.
No Senator sorry you drug her into this, you decided to run. The left are attacking John McCains wife and you have never said a word. The left attacked Mitt Romneys church and you didn't object. Why should you and yours be off limits? Because your black or do you really think you have been anointed from on high and are above examination?
Obama told "GMA" that he believes he will win a majority of the Democratic delegates once the votes are counted after Tuesday's primaries in Kentucky and Oregon. Obama is favored in Oregon while rival Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York is expected to win Kentucky.
Obama was careful not to act as if he had already clinched the nomination, but he also tried to present himself as the candidate who will be taking on Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona in the fall.
The Republicans seem to have come to the same conclusion and a GOP Internet campaign in Tennessee has an ad featuring Michelle Obama's comments during the long Democratic campaign that "for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country."
Michelle Obama was asked about the ad on "GMA," but her husband said, "Let me just interject on this."
"The GOP, should I be the nominee, I think can say whatever they want to say about me, my track record," Obama said. "I've been in public life for 20 years. I expect them to pore through everything that I've said, every utterance, every statement. And to paint it in the most undesirable light possible. That's what they do."
"But I do want to say this to the GOP. If they think that they're going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful. Because that I find unacceptable," he said.
Who cares what you think. If your wife has worshipped at the feet of a racist, hate America preacher and is brainwashed with those beliefs enough to make the statements that she makes, well than that's your problem Senator. You and your wife don't get a pass.
Obama praised his wife's patriotism and said that for Republicans "to try to distort or to play snippets of her remarks in ways that are unflattering to her I think is just low class ... and especially for people who purport to be promoters of family values, who claim that they are protectors of the values and ideals and the decency of the American people to start attacking my wife in a political campaign I think is detestable."
No they have played her statements in context, it is her beliefs that are detestable.
Obama later added, "I think that the American people also would like to see some restoration of decency to this process. And when you start attacking family members, there's a lack of decency there."
Obama still has to knock out Clinton to officially claim the nomination and denied reports that his campaign has already begun planning joint fundraisers with Clinton to help her defray a huge campaign debt.
And Michelle Obama denied reports that she had personally ruled out considering Clinton as Obama's vice presidential running mate.
She is off limits to criticism yet SHE is the one making the decision who your Vice President should be?
Michelle Obama had a lot of praise for Clinton -- as first lady.
"I think the world of Hillary Clinton. Particularly, as a woman, having watched her go through a lot of what I might be going through, (why will your husband be getting Blow jobs in the Oval Office Also?) and doing it with a level of grace, and raising a phenomenal daughter, which I have two girls," Michelle Obama said. "And I know how hard just in the little bit of exposure I've had to this what she's had to deal with, and what she's accomplished."
"So that being said, you know, there is no way that I would say absolutely no to one of the most successful and powerful and groundbreaking women on this planet. What I have said is that I think one of the things that the nominee has earned is the right to pick the vice president that they think will suit them... I think this should be Barack's say, through and through."
But your the one that gets to say yes or no. You gotta love that.
Obama said he would make his choice based on his own criteria. Part of that criteria, he said, would be someone with independence "who can say no to me" and "who will tell me when I'm wrong."
Based on those criteria, Obama joked that his wife would be a good pick.
Ahhh another Bill and Hillary two for one deal.
Michelle Obama actually overruled her husband while on "GMA" when they were asked whether their two daughters had yet to get the dog they were promised.
She said they had agreed to get the dog a year from now, while her husband said they will have "a year to test whether they are sufficiently responsible..."
But Michelle Obama cut him off, sayingy, "They are responsible."
He tried again by saying "Whether they are going to be responsible in the middle of winter to go walk that dog."
Sorry Senator your Wife is a reflection of who you are, just as the Racist anti-American church that you attended for 20 years also reflects on who you are. The Democrats have put their eggs in a very fragile basket. If this man was running against any one other than John McCain he wouldn't have a prayer.
UPDATE: This guy just gets better and better LINK
The Wall Street Journal recently reported that last summer, Illinois Senator Barack Obama told officials in the Teamsters union that he favored ending the Independent Review Board (IRB) that was created in 1989 by the federal government to rid the union of organized crime. Tommy Vietor, a spokesman for Obama, confirmed the story, saying that the candidate believed that the IRB had "run its course" because "organized crime influence in the union has drastically declined." The Teamsters subsequently endorsed Obama for president, in late February.

The Death of the Republican Party by RINO
Schwarzenegger calls for 'rebranding' GOP
Carla Marinucci,Chronicle Political Writer

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger created shock and awe in the Republican Party when he warned years ago that the GOP was in danger of "dying at the box office" by failing to make the sale to a wide swath of voters. (which they didn't do in 06, and we saw the results)
And with the presidential election looming, the Republican governor of the nation's most populous state - a decidedly blue state - has now found a chorus of agreement. The Republican "brand" - thanks to an unpopular president, a war, gas prices, foreclosures and deficit - has become such damaged goods that GOP Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia groused last week that "if we were dog food, they would take us off the shelf." (Correct conclusion wrong reasons)
The answer for GOP presidential candidate John McCain: take a page out of the Schwarzenegger playbook and sell a product that is "counter" to the current GOP brand on issues like global warming, spending and even immigration reform. (yeah run as a Liberal)
McCain comes to the Golden State this week on a campaign and fundraising swing, including a rally Thursday in Stockton being publicized with an invitation graced by a picture of a McCain hug - not with President Bush but with Schwarzenegger. (The RINO Coalition)
And the governor, in an interview with The Chronicle last week, had some candid advice and observations, not only about the GOP brand - but on McCain's efforts to expand his appeal to independents and disillusioned Democrats. (both these men's true base)
"The Republican idea is a great idea, but we can't go and get stuck with just the right wing," Schwarzenegger said. "Let's let the party come all the way to the center. Let those people be heard as much as the right. Let it be the big tent we've talked about. (in other words shut out the conservatives and pander to the left)
"Let's invade and let's cross over that (political) center," he said. "The issues that they're talking about? Let them be our issues, and let the party be known for that." (yeah lets just admit that these two and the majority of the RNC are Democrats anyway, why hide it)
'It didn't work'
He observed that his own political opponents, including former Democratic Gov. Gray Davis, tried to define him in much the way McCain is being defined by Democrats - as joined at the hip with Bush. (yeah and only idiots on the left will by that, the right knows that the two of you are more joined at the hip to Teddy Kennedy)
"It didn't work," he laughed. But "how does (McCain) beat the Democrats? By offering a better future. He needs to offer hope, he needs to go in and show he can solve the problem in Iraq and have better relations with other countries again ... and bring the economy back." (Fat Chance)
As Democrats get closer to picking their party's nominee, McCain is getting advice on his image "rebranding" from some of the same GOP insiders who helped Schwarzenegger win re-election. They include senior campaign adviser Steve Schmidt and former Schwarzenegger communications director Adam Mendelsohn, partners in a GOP political consulting firm, Mercury LLC in Sacramento. (yeah another pair of maroons)
"The Republican brand may be in a bad position because of the Bush presidency, but people recognize that John McCain is not George Bush. ... John McCain has a long track record of being a nontraditional Republican - and so does Schwarzenegger," said Mendelsohn. (yes everyone knows your both RINOs)
That makes the Arizona senator well-positioned to build a coalition of voters that can cut into the appeal of the Democratic presidential nominee, who increasingly looks to be Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, he said. (no he'll get liberals that won't vote for a black man and disaffected Hillary supporters from the left, that's it.)
With less than six months until the November election, McCain isn't alone in trying to repackage the GOP's image and outreach; indeed, rebranding fever appears to have caught on across the party. (and it looks like it's going to be a Democrat landslide in the fall)
It explains why, in the wake of losing a solid Republican seat in Mississippi in a special election last week, Republican leader Rep. John Boehner of Ohio sent out a memo outlining what he called a "new positive agenda" for the GOP - titled "The Change America Deserves." (As Boehner directs his party right over the cliff, by going Democrat Lite instead of basic Conservatism)
Political observers watching the rebranding effort say it represents a drive to compete with Obama - whose motto is "the change we can believe in" - as he seeks independent and Latino voters who could make or break the 2008 election. (will just call it a stampede off the political Cliff into oblivion)
"They don't have any choice," Averell "Ace" Smith, who managed campaigns for Hillary Rodham Clinton in California, Texas and North Carolina, said of McCain's efforts to be a "counter" Republican. "If they ran any other race, they'd doom themselves from the first day. (yes take advice from Hillary's camp. I am sure since they have served her so well they will do wonders for us)
Voters up for grabs
"(Republicans) have to move away from the status quo, because the voters up for grabs are independents and Latinos. And neither of them are particularly in love with ideologists. They both move toward moderation." (no the voters that are up for grabs are the millions that will stay home because there is no one worth voting for on the right)
On the campaign trail last week, McCain's efforts to position himself as counter to the Republican brand were keenly evident. (and caused severe outrage in whats left of the Republican party)
He spoke in Portland on what's been described as the first leg of his global warming tour; later in the week, he delivered a landmark speech, drawing some distinct contrasts to the Bush White House - whose disapproval ratings are now a whopping 71 percent - politically as well as stylistically. (driving more and more conservatives away from his campaign with each speech)
On the policy front, McCain said that by 2013, the end of his first term, he envisions most U.S. troops coming home from Iraq "in victory," as well as delivering health care and restoring "economic confidence." (1 out of those 3 he may be able to achieve, but the second one combined with his cap and trade plan will guarantee a failure in Americas economics)
And, acknowledging a White House criticized as too partisan and insular, McCain said that as president he'll ask Democrats to serve in his administration and vowed to "set a new standard for transparency and accountability. ... When we make errors, I'll confess them willingly." He vowed to institute regular presidential question-and-answer grillings before Congress, much like the British prime minister's weekly televised "Question Time." (he will need to have Dems in his Cabinet because there will be very few Republicans left to choose from)
Democrats immediately jabbed away.
"Why should McCain stop there when he could go the whole nine yards - by letting our Democratic majority in the House pick the president, just like the parliamentary system picks a prime minister?" quipped Kirsten Xanthippe, a California Democratic activist living in the United Kingdom. (they already did sweety)
"McCain isn't the real McCoy - he's just a 'prime mimicker' of conservative Bush policies, dressed up in the touchy-feely softness of sheep's clothing," she said.
Schwarzenegger disagreed.
"It was wise for him to do what he did this week," the governor said. "That's an attempt to show what his vision is. ...People need to see that there's a plan. He's in the center in a lot of ways, and that will help him - especially in states like California." (he'll need all the Dems he can get as the Republican majority sit home and watch the disaster of the next 4 years unfold)
'Republican brand is terrible'
Some Republicans agreed that McCain's work is required in an election year where challenges loom for the GOP.
"The Republican brand is terrible right now," said Bill Whalen, a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. "It's been damaged by a weak presidency ... and the various legs on which the Republican platform rests have been kicked away." (they haven't been kicked away they have been unscrewed by the elected members of the Party and show no signs of the party and the RNC allowing them to be re-attached anytime soon)
Among them, Whalen said, has been fiscal discipline - crumbling along with the $1 trillion-plus deficit - and family values, a victim of corruption and scandals involving a cast of characters from lobbyist Jack Abramoff to jailed former San Diego Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham.
"McCain runs at a time when the party itself is ill-defined, and that means McCain has to turn the election on personality - and that ties into being a political maverick," Whalen said. "You'll see McCain saying, 'My opponent talks about change - but I not only talk the talk, I walk the walk.' " (no McCains only hope is that he is a liberal Democrat that understands that we are at war and that it is a war that we need to fight. If his fellow Democrats come out and vote for their security rather than a novelty with no experience and Marxist core beliefs he has a chance, a slim one but a chance.)
Party's core principles
California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner - the only Republican besides Schwarzenegger elected to statewide office - said his party's image has been battered because GOP officials have forgotten the party's core principles: lower taxes, less government. (true)
"Spending has skyrocketed. ... There's been this real crisis in earmarks, which are not justified, and there's been corruption because of ethics violations," he said. "Republican Party leaders have done a terrible job and let the country down." (yet they want to blame the constituency instead of themselves)
But Poizner, speaking from Jerusalem where he accompanied Bush to celebrate Israel's 60th birthday, said GOP leaders like himself, Schwarzenegger and McCain have proven it's possible to stick to Republican principles and win elections, even when polls show the GOP to be the underdog. (keep telling yourself that as you pass the crack pipe around)
"Swing voters are looking for people who have the ability to get things done in both the private sector and public sector," said Poizner, who is considering a 2010 run for governor of California. "We can win elections if we get back to the basics - and that's something that Sen. McCain can do." (yeah and that Elephant above ain't gonna fall)

The Republican Party is DOOMED. The RINOs have seized control of the party apparatus and have shut out the conservative wing of the Party. They then proceed to blame and will continue to blame their losses on the very people they have shut out. It is time to drive the stake through the heart of the Elephant. The Washington Elite will never allow the party to be controlled again by it's majority conservative base.
The Republican Party needs to Cease to exist after this election and The Conservative Party needs to rise from its ashes.

Piss on the base...
John McCain spits in the eye of his base while he explains how he will destroy the US economy.
His big plan is Cap and Trade, To deal with a fictitious problem that is nothing more than a scam to scare the masses into complete control of every aspect of our lives. John McCain's Cap And Trade Policy:
John McCain Proposes A Cap-And-Trade System That Would Set Limits On Greenhouse Gas Emissions While Encouraging The Development Of Low-Cost Compliance Options. A climate cap-and-trade mechanism would set a limit on greenhouse gas emissions and allow entities to buy and sell rights to emit, similar to the successful acid rain trading program of the early 1990s. The key feature of this mechanism is that it allows the market to decide and encourage the lowest-cost compliance options.
BULLSHIT His plan is a ponzi scheme that Al Gore and Ken Lay would be proud of. His plan would destroy what is left of Federalism (states rights). This proposal will also destroy whats left of the auto industry, the oil industry, they coal industry, the trucking industry, and the Airline industry. Not to mention the massive job losses this Bill and proposal would cause. Most of which in those industries are Union jobs. All 3 of the idiots running for President support this type of plan.
The only thing I will enjoy over the next 4 to 8 years is watching those Union jobs go the way of the American Steel worker. Somehow even that joy won't make up for the misery the US is about to suffer.
Cap and Trade, and fake Man Made Global Warming smothers growth, destroys industry and places government control over every aspect of our lives and our economy right down to the breath we exhale.

A Costly Proposition
These measures would set a limit, or cap, on carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel use. The effect of such a cap would be to impose rationing of coal, oil, and natural gas on the American economy. Each covered utility, oil company, and manufacturing facility would be given allowances based on past emissions or some other formula. Those companies that emit less carbon dioxide than permitted by their allowances could sell the excess to those that do not; this is the trade part of cap and trade. Over time, the cap would be ratcheted down, requiring greater cuts in emissions.
The world has already witnessed the unpleasant effects of such policies with the Kyoto protocols.
In fact, European efforts have racked up significant costs while failing to reduce emissions. Nearly every European country participating has higher emissions today than when the treaty was first signed in 1997. Further, despite ongoing criticism of the United States from Kyoto parties for failing to ratify the treaty, emissions in many of these nations are actually rising faster than in the United States.
The European experience also shows the problem of cap and trade fraud. None other than Enron's Ken Lay was a strong supporter of carbon cap and trade when the idea was first floated in the 1990s, saying that it could "do more to promote Enron's business than almost any other regulatory initiative." These carbon allowances that will be bought and sold have a value estimated at $50 billion to $300 billion annually, and the trade in them would be a huge new business. Enron may be gone, but others ready to take advantage of cap and trade--often at public expense--are not.
By limiting the supply of fossil fuels, S. 2191 would raise the cost of energy. For consumers, cap and trade means more expensive gasoline and electricity as well as net job losses in energy-dependent sectors. Senator Lieberman himself concedes costs into the hundreds of billions of dollars. And as the Congressional Budget Office has noted, such energy cost increases act as a regressive tax on the poor.
Little Environmental Gain
While the costs of aggressive cap and trade proposals are substantial, the environmental benefits are suspect. This is true even if one fully accepts the claim of man-made global warming. The most ambitious measure to date is the Kyoto Protocol, but even if the U.S. were a party to this treaty and the European nations and other signatories were in full compliance (most are unlikely to meet their targets), the treaty would reduce the Earth's future temperature by an estimated 0.07 degrees Celsius by 2050--an amount too small even to verify. S. 2191 would at best do only a little more.
And for those who are interested here are 100 Scientists that sent a letter back in December to the UN saying this was a fake issue I know there are those that will say that this group are just the kooks. Well there are some pretty Impressive letters after those names and even if you disagree with them you can't claim the Debate over this fake problem is settled.

The Obamanation
Obama trails in popular vote by 250,000 since his vetting has begun in the beginning of March. As the MSM and the political talking heads demand Hillary's withdraw the dirty little fact that they aren't mentioning is that since the information on him has finally started to reach the public (in spite of the MSM) his numbers are plummeting even amongst Dems. In the votes since March Hillary is ahead.
As the information of his connection to the Racist Rev. Wright, The crook Resco, and 70s terrorist Ayers of the Weather Underground, have come out, his base has become one of only Urban Blacks and Champagne Liberals. He can not carry blue collar Dems and the Reagan Democrats.
He had sold himself as a Uniter, as someone who was not an A Typical Politician. The facts are proving otherwise. He is slowly being exposed for what he is, a radical left wing fanatic with an Ivy League polish.

As a child he had a mentor. It turns out that Obama's childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a communist. In his books, Obama admits attending "socialist conferences" and coming into contact with Marxist literature. Through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his "poetry" and getting advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just "Frank."
The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What's more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations.
Add to that his relationships above and the picture it paints is that of a man who has repeatedly aligned himself with friends and Father figures that have a severe disdain for the American way of life.
He talks of change, the type of change that he wishes to implement is change learned at the feet of Davis and Wright. Two men that have a view of their own country as that of the enemy.
The sad and underhanded part of this whole situation is that the people whose job it is to provide the public with this information, "the press" are in the bag for Obama. Charmed by a Black Marxist Politician who people can look at and not immediately gag over or dismiss as they do with a Sharpton, or Jakson. The MSM has jumped through hoops to not only ignore this information but to go out of their way not to even ask him any questions to clarify his relationships with these people.
They have even turned on their beloved Clinton's to establish this man as a legitimate candidate. They feel comfortable doing this not only due to their own personal bent towards socialism, but due to the fact that the Republican Party has put up such a weak candidate in John McCain.
At a time when we are at War with a foe that we can not retreat from and survive, when we are suffering from a strangle hold on our own economic solutions by refusing to face the reality that unless we develop our own Oil resources our economy will collapse, because there is no magic alternative that will save us.
We are being sold a bill of goods on a man that will Raise our taxes, attack our national corporations, and increase deficit spending on a national health care system that will destroy our superiority in this field while at the same time lowering the level of service that we all enjoy. Topped off by the icing on the cake that as he retreats from the War on Terror he will meet with the Terrorist leaders with no preconditions. (I guess to discuss our terms of surrender)
God save us all if this clown wins. I personally think he is probably the only candidate in my mind that makes McCain look good.

Yom Ha-Atzmaut
Happy Birthday Israel !
As Israel celebrates it's 60th Anniversary I raise my mug to toast the true jewel of the Middle East, God Bless you and may our armies keep you safe forever. Of course as I say this the Mad little Persian had his own wish for Israel.
Ahmadinejad: Israel is a 'stinking corpse' doomed to disappear
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday called Israel a "stinking corpse" which is doomed to disappear, as the state celebrated 60 years of independence.
"Those who think they can revive the stinking corpse of the usurping and fake Israeli regime by throwing a birthday party are seriously mistaken," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by the official IRNA news agency.
"Today the reason for the Zionist regime's existence is questioned, and this regime is on its way to annihilation," he said.
Such a nice man the mad little Persian is. As the summer gets ready to start the Iranian puppets Hamass and Hezbooha are already starting their war in Lebanon. Hezbooha took control of Muslim west Beirut on Friday, tightening its grip on the city in a major blow to the U.S.-backed government. The Civil War in Lebanon is being directed by Iran through Syria. The attacks from Gaza are being controlled by Iran through Hamass via orders through Syria. The Terrorists like the Al Qaueda chief that was captured yesterday in Iraq is Syrian, financed by Iran. The Czar Vladimir the first is bending over backwards to feed the mad persian whatever he needs to build his bomb. Not to mention that the Chi-Com backed wackjob in N Korea is also helping Iran build nuke weapons not only in Iran but in the desert of Syria also.
Yet the countries that the world worries about are Israel and The U.S. Happy Birthday Israel may your walls stand strong.
As Israel celebrates it's 60th Anniversary I raise my mug to toast the true jewel of the Middle East, God Bless you and may our armies keep you safe forever. Of course as I say this the Mad little Persian had his own wish for Israel.

Chinese build secret nuclear submarine base

China has secretly built a major underground nuclear submarine base that could threaten Asian countries and challenge American power in the region, it can be disclosed.
Satellite imagery, passed to The Daily Telegraph, shows that a substantial harbour has been built which could house a score of nuclear ballistic missile submarines and a host of aircraft carriers.

In what will be a significant challenge to US Navy dominance and to countries ringing the South China Sea, one photograph shows China’s latest 094 nuclear submarine at the base just a few hundred miles from its neighbours.
Other images show numerous warships moored to long jettys and a network of underground tunnels at the Sanya base on the southern tip of Hainan island.
Of even greater concern to the Pentagon are massive tunnel entrances, estimated to be 60ft high, built into hillsides around the base. Sources fear they could lead to caverns capable of hiding up to 20 nuclear submarines from spy satellites.
The US Department of Defence has estimated that China will have five 094 nuclear submarines operational by 2010 with each capable of carrying 12 JL-2 nuclear missiles.
The images were obtained by Janes Intelligence Review after the periodical was given access to imagery from the commercial satellite company DigitalGlobe.
Analysts for the respected military magazine suggest that the base could be used for "expeditionary as well as defensive operations" and would allow the submarines to "break out to launch locations closer to the US".
It would now be "difficult to ignore" that China was building a major naval base where it could house its nuclear forces and increase it "strategic capability considerably further afield".
The development so close to the sea lanes vital to Asian economies "can only cause concern far beyond these straits".
Military analysts believe that China’s substantial build up of its forces is gaining pace put has remained hidden from the world in the build-up to the Olympics.
China has diverted much of its resources from the huge Peoples Liberation Army to the navy, air force and missile development.
An old Russian aircraft carrier, bought by Beijing for "leisure activities" has been picked over by naval architects who hope to "reverse engineer" the ship.
Within the next five to 10 years the Peoples Liberation Navy is expected to build up to six carriers which will also coincide with the Royal Navy’s construction of two major carriers.
The location of the base off Hainan will also give the submarines access to very deep water exceeding 5,000 metres within a few miles, making them even harder to detect.
Britain’s Trident submarines have to remain on the surface when they leave Faslane in north east Scotland and cannot dive to depth until outside the Irish Sea.
While it has been known that China might be developing an underground base at Sanya, the pictures provide the first proof of the base’s existence and the rapid progress made.
Two 950 metre piers and three smaller ones would be enough to accommodate two carrier strike groups or amphibious assault ships.
Christian Le Miere, editor for Jane's Intelligence Review, said the complex underlined Beijing’s plan “to assert tighter control over this region".
"This is a challenge to any hegemonic power, particularly the US which still remains dominant in the region."
So far China has offered no public explanation for its building at Sanya.
